Description
Perfect Fit for American Silver Eagles -- Direct Fit style Air-Tite holders are designed to fit the most popular coin sizes without the need of rings. The Air-Tite Direct Fit H40 was designed for the American Silver Eagle and provides a perfect fit for 40.6mm diameter American Silver Eagle coins (they will not rattle or rotate in the holder).
Note: If you are looking for Direct Fit style Air-Tite holders designed for US Large Dollar coins, please use the Air-Tite Holder - Direct Fit - 38mm (Large Dollar) instead.
Other 40mm Coins and Medallions -- The H40 capsule also works well with other coins of similar size up to 1/8 inch thick. For coins not in the list below, check to make sure their diameter and thickness do not exceed the measurements shown below for Inside Diameter and Inside Depth respectively. To the extent the coin diameter is smaller than the Inside Diameter noted below this can allow for minor movement of the coin inside of the capsule.
Air-Tite capsules are manufactured in the United States from acrylic plastic with a non-yellowing agent to produce a highly durable, crystal clear, scratch-resistant holder. The capsules are PVC-free and safe for long term storage. The holder consists of two pieces: a snap together cover and a base. Put your coin inside the base, place the cover on top and gently press down to seal the coin inside the capsule. Insert a knife point or other similar sharp object between the two pieces and gently pry to re-open the capsule.
Bulk packaged capsules do not have retail packaging resulting in less space and lower cost. Bulk boxes of 250 (pictured above) and pre-made smaller packs of 10, 20, 25, 50 or 100 capsules are packaged with the capsules between layers of foam. Capsules are shipped unassembled. We also have the H40 capsule available in retail blister packaging.
