The US Mint does not sell capsules to replace those used in their modern commemorative and bullion coin programs. So, if a capsule is lost or broken it is difficult to find an exact match that will fit in the original government packaging. We have located a supply of these capsules that were the by-product of submitting coins for grading. These capsules are not new. They were used by the Mint in original packaging. They have not been abused or scratched although they may show minor signs of wear. Hence our calling them "lightly used."

Used mint capsules
These U.S.Mint capsules are exactly as described. Used, maybe not abused, but not new. Some of them have cracks in the bases where they were opened to remove product for grading. My order consisted of 7 cracked of 20 ordered. Also a lot of scuff marks. They so fit exactly in the OGP's they were meant for.
